Driver - Permanent Full or Part-time
Community Transport Drivers

Join St George Community and use your driving and people skills to make a genuine difference.
Based in Mortdale, our Community Transport Drivers provide safe, reliable and respectful transport for older people and people with disability. You will help clients attend appointments, complete essential activities and remain independent and connected with their community.
Our drivers are the face of St George Community. Along with operating our vehicles safely, you will provide friendly customer service and assist passengers to board and leave vehicles safely and comfortably.
What we’re looking for
- A current LR driver’s licence and safe driving record – applicants with a full C Class licence may also be considered
- A compassionate, respectful and professional approach
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Experience supporting older people or people with disability is highly regarded
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Willingness to complete all required employment and worker screening checks

St George Community (SGC) is a government funded, not-for-profit organisation that has provided safe, reliable social support and transport for older people, people with disability and their carers and private customers since 1983.
About the role
The primary purpose of this position is to provide one on one support to our older consumers and NDIS participants to assist them to reach their goals and continue to live independently in their own homes. Support Workers will be required to deliver in-home services (including personal care), one on one support and assistance to access the community.
Services are provided 7 days per week.
We are looking for support workers that :
- available Weekdays & Weekend
- available for 15 – 20 hours per week
- have their own vehicle with full class C Licence
The successful candidates must undergo an NDIS Worker Screening check prior to commencement.
