Social Outings -Stories

Sharon and her mum, Shirley, shared many special memories through our social outings over the years. Sharon often speaks about how these experiences helped turn her life around at a time when she was facing health challenges and days felt consumed by medical appointments.

Together, Sharon and Shirley were familiar faces on our overnight trips, bringing warmth, laughter and a strong sense of connection wherever they went. Their close bond, and the joy they found in being part of our community, continues to reflect the spirit of care and belonging that means so much to us.

Today, Sharon continues to enjoy our social outings, embracing new experiences and connections, and remaining a valued and much-loved member of our community.

Val, Margaret and Chris formed a beautiful friendship on the St George Community social outings. They regularly attend our outings and our overnight trips. The importance of social connection in our community is so evident on our social trips. The clients laugh and chat while they see and experience the wonderful Trips.
